This is the stop #3 on the ShopRite #NYCWFF Virtual Food Tour! All week long, different bloggers are recreating recipes that will be featured at the New York City Wine and Food Festival Grand Tasting Presented by ShopRite.
Have you heard about the New York City Wine and Food Festival? My social media feeds have been abuzz with all things #NYCWFF which will be happening next week. ShopRite, the leading supermarket in the NY area, is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Grand Tasting presented by ShopRite for the 9th consecutive year!
This recipe I’m sharing with you will be one of the recipes that will be featured at their Grand Tasting! My husband and I got to enjoy it in the comfort of our home while watching a couple episodes of Stranger Things. We fired up the grill for the steak, I prepared sweet mashed potatoes in our electric pressure cooker and dinner was on the table in no time! The sweetness of the potatoes complemented the spicy cilantro and jalapeno sauce. Also, be sure to save some of the sauce for later. You can put it on almost anything!

- 1 tsp salt or to taste
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 ½ lbs. bones sirloin steak about ¾” thick

- Combine all ingredients, except the beef, in a blender. Secure with lid and puree until smooth. Reserve ¾ cup of the cilantro mixture, cover and refrigerate until needed.
