Well hello there! Here are three random musings for this week…
1 – Bloggers without Borders
I met Maggy Keet, CEO of Bloggers without Borders (BWOB) at a food blog conference, Big Summer Potluck, a couple of years ago. She is part of an amazing group of people at BWOB doing amazing work to raise awareness and money for food-related nonprofits. And not just any ol’ nonprofit, but those that “address the injustices of our food system”. As a blogger, our reach is far and wide and collectively, we are certainly an active community, on and offline. BWOB is currently partnered with WhyHunger through January. How can you help? You can join in on their Twitter parties and chats, and can also help raise money with an online/offline Holiday Cookie Swap Fundraiser from December 1-9. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth, but is anyone interested in hosting a cookie swap with me?
2 – Comfort Food for #SundaySupper
Speaking of an active online community, I gotta give my #SundaySupper crew a shout-out. Each of us is featuring our favorite comfort food recipe and the host, Isabel of Family Foodie, has invited a special guest this week. She is Lee Woodruff. Who is she, you ask? She is a journalist with CBS This Morning and is also a New York Times bestselling author. You can learn more about her on her website. She’s been following #SundaySupper for a while now and will be joining us this Sunday for our live chat! It’s a great opportunity to connect with her and get to know her. Join us on Twitter at 7 p.m. EDT with our #SundaySupper hashtag!
#SundaySupper will be featuring over 65 comfort food recipes. See what everyone is bringing to the table!
Here’s a sneak peek at what I’m serving up…
3 – Architecture quote by Norman Foster
Heeding to the architect and designer in me…I love this quote by one of my favorite architects.
