Much has happened these past few weeks…here are a few things that I’ve been thinking about this week.
1 – Helping Sandy Hook
I learned from my friend Carolyn at The Pleasantest Thing that the Sandy Hook Elementary PTA have requested that snowflakes be sent in to create a winter wonderland for the students when they return to their new school. There is something so peaceful, simple, and magical about this notion. Carolyn also shares some snowflake-making ideas on her site. For more information on where to send your snowflakes and other ways you can help, please go to the Connecticut PTA website.
To say that I’m “deeply saddedened” by the tragic events of last Friday is an understatement. I’ve been overcome by a maelstrom of emotions. I pray for peace in the hearts of every individual in the Newtown community as they go through this time of healing.
2 – Home for the Holidays #SundaySupper
This week’s Sunday Supper is hosted by Beate Weiss-Krull at Galctopdx. Each of us will be sharing a traditional holiday dish from our heritage. Here’s a sneak peek at my dish, bindaetteok (mung bean pancakes).
3 – Deck the halls and fa la la…
Christmas will be upon us in 5 short days, but according to my two kids, it is “SOOOO FAR AWAY!” 🙂 I wish you and yours much peace and joy this holiday season.
