Happy Thursday! Here are three things I want to share with you this week!
1 – Get Out Your Best Food Writing
Attention food writers! I thought I’d share Dianne Jacob’s latest post. Send your best piece (or pieces) of writing for an opportunity to be included in The Best Food Writing anthology for 2013. Apply by May 1 to be considered. Give it a shot…you have nothing to lose! For more information, read Dianne Jacob’s full post.
2 – French Glasses
Yes, you read right. Not French classes, but glasses! I just bought a six-pack of these beautiful Duralex Gigogne tumblers. Sure, Duralex has been around forever and I remember seeing these years ago, but out of sight, out of mind, right? Anyway, in my effort to phase out the plastic cups, I have been searching for “the perfect” glass tumbler for the tots. So last week we were in Beacon, NY to check out the Dia:Beacon. We never made it past the admission desk (another story…), but checked out Main Street and found Utensil Kitchenware. One thing led to another and I left the charming little store with my new glasses. I highly recommend the glasses and a visit to Beacon, NY!
3 – Movie Inspired Recipes
The upcoming Sunday Supper will showcase recipes inspired by movies! Sounds fun, doesn’t it? Sunday Supper will be hosted by Heather at girlichef. I won’t tell you which movie I chose, but it rhymes with “Rig Right” and I’ve included a clip of one of my favorite scenes in the movie right here:
And just for fun, here’s another clip for your hungry eyes from Ang Lee’s Eat Drink Man Woman…beautiful.
