Today celebrates the 2nd anniversary (or blogiversary) of Kimchi MOM! This past year has truly flown by. Although Kimchi MOM hasn’t taken the world by storm (yet), I’ve achieved a few personal milestones this year, but of course not without the help of you, my readers! And stay tuned…more is yet to come!
So in celebration of my two year anniversary, two lucky winners will each receive a free copy of Kimchi Chronicles penned by Marja Vongerichten. Two books to celebrate two years! The book truly embraces Korean American recipes and I love it. If you’ve been watching Kimchi Chronicles on PBS, many of the photos are taken from the show capturing some beautiful shots of the Motherland. And the food porn is pretty mouth watering!
These books were not provided by a PR firm or otherwise. These books are my own and are a token of thanks to you, my readers!
- Leave a comment telling me of your favorite Korean dish. (Make sure I have a way of contacting you if you’re named one of the winners!)
For bonus entries (optional):
- Follow @kimchi_mom on Twitter and tweet the following: “I just entered to win a copy of the Kimchi Chronicles cookbook to celebrate 2 years of @kimchi_mom! https://kimchimom.com/?p=1765” Then come back to this post and leave an additional comment with your Twitter name.
- Become a fan of Kimchi Mom’s Facebook page then come back to this post and leave an additional comment telling me that you have ‘liked’ my page.
Entries, limited to those in the continental United States, will be accepted through October 20th, midnight EST. The winner will be announced October 21, 2011.
Thank you for reading and good luck!

I will definitely buy a copy even if I don’t win one. Well done and to think this was born out of the kitchen with love and well, not much time…..well done supermom, looking forward to reading your book. Best – Angela Kim (San Diego)
I have never eaten Korean food before….I know….I’m crazy. Saw Kimchi made the other day and am now obsessed with it. This book would be a great addition to my eclectic library of cookbooks.
Love galbi jjim (braised short ribs)!
A truly entertaining and inspirational blog for me as a parent. My favorite Korean dish is bibimbap, but my favorite from your blog is the roasted Chickpeas. Looking forward to another year.

My favorite Korean dish is a tie between kalbi jjim and spicy nakjji bokkum. I love ALL things Korean food though. Happy 2 year Anniversary!

Hi. I discovered your blog not too long ago and am really enjoying your recipes. Kimchi stew and kimchi fried rice are my two favorites!
I know I’ve Korean dishes but for the life of me can’t recall their names. But really, while I was here, just wanted to say congrats on two years and the personal milestones you’ve achieved. As long as you’re having fun, that’s what matters most! Glad to have “met” you recently…
Amy! Two years already! Congratulations…. Favorite Korean dish… does ggaktugi kimchi count?
I have never tried Korean food but this cookbook would be a great excuse to give it a shot! I may just be purchasing it if I don’t win!!
HAPPY SECOND YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! Anniversaries are always so exciting. I always feel nostalgic about the past year and hopeful for what lies ahead. I am torn between two Korean dishes: tofu soup and bibimbap. The first time I had bibimbap was in a small hole-in-the-wall lunch spot in Santa Barbara when I was back in grad school and I have loved it (and tofu soups) ever since. Congratulations and here’s wishing you more years of Kimchi Mom!!
I love budae jjigae!
liked your FB page…congrats on 2 years!
Definitely bibimbop with bulgogi! Yum
My FAVORITE KOREAN dish has to be tedji bulgogi…Not sure the spelling but we grew up calling it “Hot meat” and it is something we ALWAYS make for our “American” friends when introducing them to korean cuisine!
Congrats on your two years! You’ve done a great job. My favorite Korean dish is kimchi jjigae.
